Happy Birthday, George George Westinghouse Oct 14 Written By David Bear On October 6, 2026, we celebrated George Westinghouse’s 180th birthday with a historic gathering organized by TWL at Pittsburgh’s Duquesne Club with executives from half a dozen companies that trace their origins to him. Bill Flanagan interviewed three of them for his WPXI TV program Our Region’s Business which aired on Sunday, October 11th. Click this link to view the wonderful, seven-minute segment. But the artistic focus of the event was this cake which we had prepared by the Duquesne Club bakery. The image the club’s bakery iced on the cake was based on this painting of the George Westinghouse Memorial by TWL board member Denise Fantazier. Each of the executives received a print of the painting. Media Type - VideoMedia Type - Photos David Bear https://TheWestinghouseLegacy.org
