Westinghouse Home of Tomorrow

This informed presentation that Timothy Brian McKee posted in Richland County History of “America’s Future in 1934: The Westinghouse Home of Tomorrow recounts an innovative marketing campaign the company created in Mansfield, Ohio.

More than selling appliances, the campaign fostered visions of a positive future in the midst of the Great Depression.

The North Central Ohio Industrial Museum recently signed a letter of intent to purchase the house from its private owners. NCOIM (a 501C3) has established a fundraising campaign to complete the transaction and restore the building to its 1934 condition.
